HW7-6 Hill Blocks View

A HILL BLOCKS VIEW (HW7-6) sign is in advance of a crest vertical curve to advise road users to reduce speed as they approach and traverse the hill as only limited stopping sight distance is available. When a HILL BLOCKS VIEW sign is used, it should be supplemented by an Advisory Speed (W13-1P) plaque indicating the recommended speed for traveling over the hillcrest based on available stopping sight distance. This sign is a diamond shape with a black legend and border on a yellow background.
